Job summary

You will join Sev.en Steel UK Ltd in Cardiff as a Planning Engineer, developing, communicating and maintaining maintenance plans and schedules that balance maintenance, production priorities and resources while prioritising safety.

You will need a BSc in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering and have strong communication, organisational and problem-solving skills to thrive in a fast-paced rolling mill environment.

Qualifications

• Experience in maintenance planning and scheduling.
• Background in the steel industry is preferred, not required.
• Strong communication, organisational and problem-solving skills.
• Analytical mindset to adapt in a fast-paced rolling mill.

Responsibilities

• Develop, maintain and improve SAP PM maintenance planning and scheduling processes.
• Facilitate weekly maintenance planning and scheduling meetings with Maintenance and Production teams.
• Develop weekly maintenance schedules based on preventive, predictive and corrective maintenance requirements while optimizing resources.
• Coordinate planned shutdowns and major maintenance activities for efficient execution.
• Promote a safe Health, Safety and Environmental culture on site.
• Participate in risk assessments and support development of maintenance procedures and safe systems of work.
