Job Description
The Maintenance Planner is a key role within the maintenance team to support the safe operation of assets, plant productivity, and reliability. As the Maintenance Planner, you will report directly to the Maintenance Manager and work closely with the maintenance team, engineering team, scheduler, procurement, and approved vendors. It will be essential to establish and maintain healthy working relationships with all parties.
This role is key to delivering and maintaining all site safety standards throughout the site’s assets, ensuring site and industry regulations are followed, and enabling operation as a top-tier COMAH site.
The role involves meeting regulatory and customer quality requirements related to ISO9001, ISO14001, and cGMP, as well as cross-contamination prevention. The Maintenance Planner will deliver maintenance plans to ensure manufacturing performance.
The main duties of this role include ensuring health, safety, and environmental standards are maintained throughout the planning and delivery of all work on assets. This includes planning breakdowns, PMs, compliance work, site regulatory work, and defects in accordance with industry standards, EHS regulations, and timely completion. Daily activities include:

Ensuring health, safety, and environmental standards are maintained during planning and work delivery. Promoting a positive safety culture, ensuring work is carried out safely and according to guidelines, reporting accidents or near misses, and suggesting improvements and best practices.
Time-served craftsman with around 5 years of post-apprenticeship experience, primarily in instrumentation or electrical trades. Strong organizational skills, ability to prioritize, work independently and as part of a team, and manage time effectively. Good situational awareness to leverage maintenance opportunities from outages or breakdowns.
Team building and incentive skills to foster good relationships across departments. Maintenance KPIs include planned maintenance compliance, safety-critical defect closure, first-time right work, and planning accuracy.
Ability to communicate and coordinate with production and other departments, manage instructions based on site priorities, and use Microsoft Office applications effectively. Building strong relationships with internal teams and external suppliers is essential.
