Job summary

Agincare Weymouth is seeking an experienced Maintenance Person for Chalgrove Care and Nursing Home in Poole. You’ll maintain the building and grounds, carry out repairs (painting, decorating, plastering, doors/windows) and coordinate with head office for contractor work.

Safety and regulatory records are essential. You’ll benefit from a strong development path, funded training up to QCF level 5, a pension, and on-demand pay, with a Refer a Friend scheme up to £1,000 in addition to the base

Qualifications

• Minimum 12 months of right to work in the UK.
• Availability to work 40 hours per week, daytime shifts.

Responsibilities

• Maintain the building and grounds in line with health and safety requirements.
• Undertake repairs including painting and decorating, grounds maintenance, plastering, and repairing doors/windows.
• Refer complex repairs to head office/contractors when needed.
• Ensure safety and that work is recorded to regulatory standards.

A day in the life of a Maintenance Person

• You will be responsible for the maintenance of the building and grounds in line with health and safety requirements
• You will assess and undertake repairs including painting and decorating, grounds maintenance, plastering, repairing doors and windows.
• If work cannot be completed internally, you will liaise with our head office team to refer the repair to a contractor.
• Safety is paramount, so you will ensure that the care home is safe for all of our residents.
• You will ensure that work is completed and recorded in line with legislative and regulatory requirements.

What is required from you?

• A minimum of 12 months on your right to work
• Include any additional requirements in terms of experience, driving etc
• Available to work (40 hours per week, days per week).
