Job summary

Meallmore in Ayr is seeking a Maintenance Person to join our care home team. You will handle general maintenance tasks, basic electrical, plumbing and carpentry work, and keep records up to date to ensure a safe, welcoming environment for residents.

The role is 37.5 hours per week at £14.42 per hour, with competitive benefits and overtime rates. You should be a practical problem-solver, a good communicator and comfortable working independently as part of a team.

Qualifications

• Basic electrical, plumbing and carpentry skills required.

Responsibilities

• Handle general maintenance work and record-keeping in the care home.

• Keep garden areas, driveways, and paths tidy and welcoming.
• Follow purchasing routines to ensure smooth operations.

Role & Responsibilities

• Swiftly and efficiently handle any general maintenance work and record-keeping within the care home.
• Guarantee all Compliance and Mandatory checks are completed and recorded within the designated timeframe.
• Prioritise a safe environment for all our residents and colleagues.
• Maintain all equipment utilised by employees and residents to the highest standard, ensuring it's always ready for use.
• Keep garden areas, driveways, and paths tidy and welcoming at all times.
• Follow all purchasing routines as outlined by Meallmore Ltd. We're here to ensure everything runs smoothly and safely for you.
