Job summary

Acorn by Synergie is seeking an experienced Painter for a 3-month initial contract in Plymouth. The role covers painting and decorating across commercial/industrial premises with a focus on high-quality finishes and safety. Immediate start is available on a 12-hour Sat/Sun shift pattern.

The successful candidate will hold a valid Mobile Platform License and bring proven painting expertise, working well autonomously or as part of a team in a professional environment.

Qualifications

• Proven experience as a Painter or Painter and Decorator.
• Good knowledge of surface preparation and paint application techniques.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship.
• Valid Mobile Platform License

Responsibilities

• Prepare surfaces for painting, including sanding, filling, cleaning, and priming.
• Carry out internal decorating works.
• Protect surrounding areas and maintain a clean and tidy working environment.
• Identify and report defects, damage, or maintenance issues.
• Operate access equipment safely where required.
• Comply with health and safety regulations, site rules, and risk assessments.
• Complete painting and decorating work to a high standard within agreed timescales.

Introduction

Acorn by Synergie is recruiting an experienced Painter for an initial 3-month temporary contract in Plymouth.

This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced Painter, Painter and Decorator, Commercial Painter, or Industrial Painter to support painting and decorating works across commercial and/or industrial premises.

The successful candidate will be responsible for carrying out high-quality painting and finishing work while maintaining safe working practices at all times.

A valid Mobile Platform Lisence is essential, as some tasks will involve working at height using access equipment.
