Job summary

Energy Jobline ZR in Luton is seeking an experienced Maintenance Operative to join a social housing maintenance team covering properties across Luton and surrounding areas. The role involves carrying out a broad range of property maintenance and repair works in occupied and void properties, ensuring repairs are completed safely and to a high standard.

You should have multi-trade skills, a full UK driving license and own tools.

Qualifications

• Previous experience as Maintenance Operative or similar.
• Experience in social housing or housing maintenance environments.
• Good all-round maintenance skills across multiple trades.
• Full UK Driving Licence.
• Own tools.

Responsibilities

• Carry out reactive and planned maintenance works.
• Complete basic carpentry, plumbing, painting and decorating repairs.
• Undertake minor patch plastering and making-good works.
• Replace fixtures, fittings, locks, hinges and door furniture.
• Conduct routine property inspections and identify repair requirements.
• Ensure all work complies with health and safety regulations.

We are currently recruiting for an experienced Maintenance Operative to join a leading social housing maintenance team covering properties across Luton and the surrounding areas.This is an excellent opportunity to secure long-term, ongoing work with a reputable contractor delivering essential repairs and maintenance services to housing association and local authority housing stock.

The Role

As a Maintenance Operative, you will be responsible for carrying out a broad range of property maintenance and repair works within occupied and void social housing properties. You will ensure repairs are completed efficiently, safely, and to a high standard while providing excellent customer service to .

Key Responsibilities

• Carry out reactive and planned maintenance works
• Complete basic carpentry, plumbing, painting and decorating repairs

Requirements

• Experience working within social housing, housing maintenance, local authority or property services environments
• Good all-round maintenance skills across multiple trades
• Full UK Driving Licence
• Own tools
