Job summary

The Housing Network is seeking an experienced Maintenance Operative in North Northamptonshire to join during an exciting growth phase. You will perform scheduled repairs, refurbish void properties, and help maintain safe, welcoming accommodation for residents.

The role involves carpentry, painting, plumbing, and minor electrical tasks, along with garden maintenance. Monday–Friday 9:00–17:30, with a salary of £35,000 and benefits including 23 days leave, Blue Light Card and a referral programme.

Responsibilities

• Carry out scheduled work on void properties to bring back up to a high standard and in accordance with the Council's targets prescribed in the contract
• Travelling from property to property within a specific region
• Oversee maintenance of common areas
• Basic carpentry, including door hanging and changing locks
• Painting and decorating, basic plumbing and electrical work
• Ensure the garden area is clear including fencing
