Job summary

The Old Vicarage, Leigh, Sherborne, part of Healthcare Homes, seeks a Maintenance Operative to lead our maintenance team. You will oversee upkeep, painting, decorating, repairs and basic plumbing and electrical work, ensuring safety for residents in a lovely nursing home environment.

We offer a comprehensive benefits package and opportunities for training, with a Monday–Friday schedule of 9am–4pm for 32.5 hours per week at £13.60 per hour.

Qualifications

• Previous experience within gardening, decorating, plumbing and electrical work is essential.
• Overseeing the upkeep of the home including painting, decorating, repairs and basic plumbing and electrical work.
• Ensuring residents remain safe and comfortable by adhering to health and safety practices.

• Maintenance Operative

  £13.60 per hour

  32.5 hours per week 9am - 4pm

  What would a typical day look like?

  Overseeing the upkeep of our home including painting, decorating, repairs and basic plumbing and electrical work Ensuring our residents remain safe and comfortable by adhering to good health and safety practices at all times

  Previous experience within gardening, decorating, plumbing and electrical work is essential and we can provide you with a thorough induction and training programme to further develop your skills along with the support and guidance of a well-established team who truly value their colleagues.
