Job summary

Cygnet Healthcare is looking for a Maintenance Operative to join our team at Willow House, a specialist residential service with nursing for adults with learning disabilities and complex needs.

You'll work 40 hours a week in a residential setting, undertaking basic joinery, plumbing, painting and general building work, and maintaining equipment and vehicles. DBS check will be required.

Qualifications

• Experienced in a similar role and able to carry out general maintenance tasks.
• Willing to travel and hold a full valid driving licence.
• Able to communicate at all levels and record detailed maintenance information.
• Skilled at DIY and general maintenance.
• Preferably experience in electrical/plumbing/construction industry.

Responsibilities

• Provide a comprehensive maintenance and repair service.
• Carry out tasks including basic joinery, plumbing, painting and general building work.
• Maintain equipment, services and vehicles.
• Comply with safe working practices and report faulty equipment and hazards.
• Check fire alarm points weekly, including fire exits and emergency lights.

Cygnet Healthcare is looking for a Maintenance Operative to join our team at Willow House. Willow House is a specialist residential service with nursing for adults with learning disabilities, complex needs and behaviours that may challenge.

Youll be working 40 hours a week in a residential nursing service with service users with learning disabilities , autism and mental health challenges.

Your Day-to-Day

• Provide a comprehensive maintenance & repair service
• Carry out a range of tasks including basic joinery, plumbing, painting & general building work
• Maintain equipment, services & vehicles
• Comply with safe working practices & report faulty equipment and potential hazards
• Check the fire alarm points weekly, including fire exits, door retaining devices & fire emergency lights.

You are

• Experienced in a similar role, or have worked in a self-employed capacity in recent years
• Willing to travel & hold a full valid driving licence
• Able to communicate at all levels & record detailed, accurate maintenance information
• Skilled at DIY & general maintenance
• Preferably experienced in the electrical/plumbing/construction industry
• Friendly, conscientious & an excellent team member with a positive attitude.

Please note: successful candidates will be required to undergo an enhanced DBS check.
