Job summary

Cygnet Healthcare is seeking a Maintenance Operative for Willow House, a specialist residential service with nursing for adults with learning disabilities and complex needs. You will work 40 hours weekly in a residential setting, performing maintenance across joinery, plumbing, painting and general building tasks.

Ideal candidates have hands-on maintenance experience, a full driving licence, and the ability to communicate well with colleagues. DBS check is required to join our team.

Qualifications

• Experience in maintenance or similar role.
• Willingness to travel and hold a valid driving licence.
• Ability to communicate at all levels and record maintenance information.
• DIY and general maintenance skills.
• Experience in electrical, plumbing or construction is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide a comprehensive maintenance & repair service.
• Carry out tasks including basic joinery, plumbing, painting & general building work.
• Maintain equipment, services & vehicles.
• Comply with safe working practices & report faulty equipment and potential hazards.
• Check fire alarm points weekly including fire exits, door retaining devices & emergency lights.

Cygnet Healthcare is looking for a Maintenance Operative to join our team at Willow House.
Willow House is a specialist residential service with nursing for adults with learning disabilities, complex needs and behaviours that may challenge.
You’ll be working 40 hours a week in a residential nursing service with service users with learning disabilities , autism and mental health challenges.
Your Day-to-Day…

• Provide a comprehensive maintenance & repair service
• Carry out a range of tasks including basic joinery, plumbing, painting & general building work
• Maintain equipment, services & vehicles
• Comply with safe working practices & report faulty equipment and potential hazards
• Check the fire alarm points weekly, including fire exits, door retaining devices & fire emergency lights.

You are…

• Experienced in a similar role, or have worked in a self-employed capacity in recent years
• Willing to travel & hold a full valid driving licence
• Able to communicate at all levels & record detailed, accurate maintenance information
• Skilled at DIY & general maintenance
• Preferably experienced in the electrical/plumbing/construction industry
• Friendly, conscientious & an excellent team member with a positive attitude.
