Job summary

David Lloyd Clubs is recruiting a Maintenance Operative to keep club facilities safe and well-maintained. You will ensure equipment is in good working order and respond to routine repairs, contributing to a welcoming, high-quality environment for members and staff.

Travel between clubs within your region may be required. The role demands practical skills in carpentry, plumbing or electrical work, plus a Pool Plant Operator qualification and a valid driving licence.

Qualifications

• Maintenance Operative with technical skills in carpentry, plumbing or single phase electrics.
• Pool Plant Operators Qualification (STA or similar).
• Full driving licence or ability to travel between clubs within your region.
• Strong engagement, communication and active listening skills.

Responsibilities

• Ensure all equipment is fully functioning and safe for members and staff.
• Maintain club environments and assist with routine repairs and checks.
• Support daily facilities management across multiple clubs within your region.
• Collaborate with the maintenance team to ensure smooth operations 7 days a week.

As a Maintenance Operative, we are looking for someone:

• Who has technical skills or discipline (i.e. Carpentry / Plumbing / Single Phase Electrics) – Essential

• Pool Plant Operators Qualification (STA or similar)

• A full driving licence or the ability to travel efficiently between clubs within your region

• Strong engagement, communication and active listening skills.
