Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Maintenance Operative to join our community hub team. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in supporting the organisation's core operations and ensuring the efficient and effective delivery of services.

Key Responsibilities
  • Carry out all aspects of repair and maintenance work within the region/services assigned to you.
  • Repair services including plumbing, carpentry, fixing broken furniture/walls, gardening, and overseeing other works as needed. Gardening scope to be identified by the Deputy Estates Manager.
  • Ensure that working areas are left clean and tidy.
  • Undertake basic administration tasks related to this work and support team members and the Co-Ordinator as team leader.
  • Utilise the maintenance portal for all works undertaken, keeping it updated, and provide feedback to the Co-Ordinator.
  • Promote high standards in the environment for people we support through professional practice and respectful working in people's homes.
Requirements
  • A full (clean) driving license and access to a car.
  • Willingness to travel, work unsociable hours, and travel to other regions if required.
  • Self-motivated and a team player.
  • Excellent time management, administrative, and organizational skills.
  • Ethical and professional behavior.
  • Willingness to learn new skills and tasks.
  • Ability to use initiative and work with conflicting deadlines.
