Job summary

ADVINIA HEALTH CARE in Manchester is seeking an experienced maintenance person to help keep our care home safe and well maintained for residents and staff.

Work closely with the Maintenance Manager, carry out safety checks, perform basic plumbing and electrical tasks, and ensure records are accurate. Strong communication with managers, residents, and visitors is essential.

Qualifications

• Must have excellent communication with Managers, Colleagues, Residents and Visitors.
• Basic plumbing and electrical maintenance skills.
• Experience in routine safety checks and accurate record keeping.

Responsibilities

• Maintain a safe, well-maintained environment for residents.
• Carry out regular safety checks and servicing on equipment with records.
• Communicate with Home Manager and Residents.
• Perform basic plumbing and electrical maintenance.
• Clean and clear general areas.
• Collaborate with Maintenance Manager to ensure safety.

Your role will include:

• Working closely with the Maintenance Manager or nominated colleague to make sure that our residents live in a place that is safe and well maintained at all times
• Ensuring that regular safety checks and servicing is carried out on all equipment and accurate records are kept.
• Having excellent communication with the Home Manager and also the Residents
• Basic plumbing and electrical maintenance
• Clearing and Cleaning general areas
• You must have excellent communication skills with Manager's, Colleagues, Residents and Visitors to the Home.
