Job summary

Advinia is seeking an experienced Maintenance person to help keep our care homes safe and well maintained. You will work with the Maintenance Manager to perform regular safety checks, carry out basic plumbing and electrical tasks, assemble furniture, paint and decorate, and keep accurate service records.

This role requires on-call duties and strong communication with managers, colleagues, residents and visitors.

• Experience in building and maintaining safe living environments.

Your role will include:

• Working closely with the Maintenance Manager or nominated colleagueto make sure that our residents live in a place that is safe and well maintained at all times
• Ensuring that regular safety checks and servicing is carried out on all equipment and accurate records are kept.
• Having excellent communication with the Home Manager and also the Residents
• Basic plumbing and electrical maintenance
• Clearing and Cleaning general areas
• Assembling furniture
• Painting and decorating

This position will require on call duties

You must have excellent communication skills with Manager's, Colleagues, Residents and Visitors to the Home, and proven experience within a similar position
