Job summary

Radisson Blu Heathrow Hotel & Conference Centre, London is seeking a Maintenance Leader to oversee planned and reactive maintenance, manage budgets, and drive energy efficiency. You will lead renovations, negotiate contracts, and ensure safe operations across building services.

You will coach and develop a team, maintain high standards, handle guest concerns promptly, and collaborate with other departments to improve property maintenance. A strong engineering background is essential.

Qualifications

• Proven track record in a similar position within a 4-star hotel (leadership and operational delivery).
• Recognised electrical or engineering qualification; plumbing, electrical, mechanical and carpentry expertise.
• Strong budgeting and cost-control understanding.
• Excellent command of health and safety regulations and best practices.

About us

A bit about what you will do...

• Lead and coordinate the delivery of planned and reactive maintenance services.
• Participate in the preparation of the annual departmental operating budget and financial plans.
• Monitor budget and control expenses with a focus on energy management, preventive maintenance, and capital planning.
• Lead hotel renovations and other projects, negotiate contracts, and ensure timely completion within budget.
• Manage Health & Safety, including statutory compliance, risk assessment, permits to work and safe working practices.
• Address any guest concerns promptly, attentively and efficiently.
• Liaise closely with other hotel departments and wider management team to support the continual improvement of property maintenance standards.
• Maintain and order parts and supplies in a timely and efficient manner while minimising waste and supporting "green" initiatives.
• Act as property leader for the brand’s ‘Green Engage’ program.
• Coach, train, and support the team to provide consistently high standards while continually looking to improve.
• Perform Duty manager shifts as required.

• Strong knowledge of the operation, control and maintenance of building services plant and systems.
• Previous experience using maintenance management software and Microsoft Office applications.
• Excellent understanding of health and safety regulations and best practices.
• High standard of English, both written and spoken.
