LGH Hotels Management is seeking a proactive Hotel Maintenance Manager for our Liverpool property. You will lead day-to-day maintenance operations, oversee a skilled team, and drive preventative programmes to ensure guest comfort and safety.

The role emphasizes hands-on leadership, problem-solving, and building a reliable maintenance culture that supports top-quality hospitality experiences.

Responsibilities

• Oversee the day-to-day maintenance operations of the hotel, ensuring all work is completed efficiently, on time, and to a high standard.
• Allocate work, manage rotas, and provide clear direction to the maintenance team.
• Carry out regular inspections to identify issues early and reduce disruption.
• Design and implement effective preventative maintenance programmes that protect assets and minimise downtime.
• Take a proactive approach to fault-finding and long-term problem resolution.
• Ensure all maintenance activity is carried out safely, fully compliant with health & safety legislation and best practice.
• Maintain accurate records of maintenance work, costs, parts used, and compliance documentation.
• Manage the maintenance and repairs budget, balancing cost control with quality and long-term reliability.
• Monitor energy usage and introduce energy-efficient improvements where possible.
• Oversee contractors and suppliers—negotiating contracts and ensuring work is delivered to standard and within budget.
• Provide clear updates and reports to senior management on maintenance activity, risks, and priorities.
• Build a positive, calm, solutions-focused maintenance culture that others can rely on.
