Job summary

Pilgrim's Europe in Westerleigh seeks an experienced Maintenance Manager to lead the site's maintenance strategy, engineering standards and asset reliability programmes for safe, reliable operations in a fast-paced food manufacturing environment.

You will oversee preventive maintenance, condition monitoring, KPI tracking and contractor management, driving continuous improvement and cost-effective performance while ensuring regulatory compliance and team development.

Qualifications

Extensive experience leading maintenance in a food manufacturing setting.
Proven ability to develop and implement maintenance strategies and KPI reporting.
Strong leadership and training ability.

Responsibilities

Lead day-to-day maintenance and engineering activities to maximise asset reliability.
Track and report engineering KPIs using Fresh Report.
Drive continuous improvement of PPM programmes and processes.
Develop and optimise PPM kitting systems for efficiency.
Develop and maintain engineering SOPs and training across the department.
Ensure mandatory compliance training is completed with Training Dept.
Lead condition monitoring initiatives to reduce downtime.
Ensure safe working practices and permit systems compliance.
Manage service contracts and external contractors for value and quality.
Oversee asset management systems and equipment tracking.
Ensure compliance with site standards, food safety, and legal obligations.
Drive engineering standards and best practice maintenance methodologies.
Manage budgets, costs, and resource planning.
Lead, coach and develop the engineering team.
