Job summary

Aspion Drivers is seeking an experienced Maintenance Manager to oversee the site’s shredder operations in Cardiff. The role focuses on owning maintenance, driving preventative programs and ensuring equipment reliability in a heavy industrial recycling environment.

The successful candidate will lead a team of mechanical and electrical engineers, manage maintenance planning and coordinate with production to minimise downtime and maintain continuous operations.

Qualifications

• Experience leading maintenance teams in heavy industrial environments.
• Strong background in mechanical/electrical engineering and maintenance planning.

Responsibilities

• Take ownership of maintenance operations across the shredding facility.
• Develop, implement and maintain preventative maintenance schedules.
• Plan and coordinate maintenance to minimise disruption and maximise uptime.
• Lead and manage engineers and fitters.
• Oversee reactive maintenance, breakdowns and repairs.
• Identify recurring failures and drive reliability improvements.
• Ensure tasks are prioritised, scheduled and completed.
• Collaborate with production to align maintenance with schedules.
• Maintain high standards of engineering practice, health and safety.
