Job Advert Location Description

Oversees and delivers an efficient and effective maintenance service within a Priory unit to assist in the well-being, comfort & safety of patients, students and pupils.

1. Ensures the maintenance of a well decorated, safe and comfortable environment throughout the unit, in line with quality standards and statutory regulations.
2. Manages, oversees and undertakes various general maintenance jobs, prioritizing patient/pupil-related tasks, and supervises Maintenance Assistants and Gardeners as appropriate.
3. Identifies damage, faults, and issues, prioritizing repairs and replacements to ensure environmental standards and regulations are met.
4. Coordinates with local contractors, providing guidance for timely completion of maintenance schedules and monitoring contracts for variances.
5. Locally project manages capital expenditure projects, sourcing and collating costings under senior management guidance.
6. Proposes new services to regional management based on local needs.
7. Certifies purchase orders and invoices, ensuring spending is preauthorized and within budget.

Knowledge & Skills

Relevant NVQ3 or equivalent qualification in electrical, mechanical, or building trades with JIB approved status.

Experience

Experience in facilities, operational, trade, or maintenance roles.
