Job Opportunity: Maintenance Manager

Location: The Quays Hotel, Sheffield

Job Type: Full-Time (40 hours per week)

Are you a hands-on problem solver with a knack for keeping things running smoothly? The Quays Hotel Sheffield is looking for a dedicated and experienced Maintenance Manager to lead our maintenance operations and ensure our facilities are always in top condition.

About The Role

As Maintenance Manager, you'll take charge of all day-to-day maintenance activities across our 128 bedroom hotel, including guest rooms, public areas, leisure club and back-of-house facilities. You will lead the department, manage contractors, and take a proactive approach to both preventative and reactive maintenance.

Key Responsibilities

• Oversee all maintenance and repair tasks to ensure the hotel is safe, functional, and visually appealing.
• Develop and implement preventative maintenance schedules.
• Manage the department and external contractors.
• Ensure all work complies with health and safety regulations.
• Monitor and control maintenance budgets and inventory.
• Respond quickly and efficiently to guest maintenance issues.
• Liaise with department heads to support the smooth running of the hotel.
  
  

What We're Looking For

• Proven experience in a similar maintenance or facilities management role, preferably in hospitality.
• Strong knowledge of electrical, plumbing, HVAC, and general building systems.
• Excellent leadership and organisational skills.
• A proactive, can-do attitude with great problem-solving abilities.
• Health & Safety knowledge (e.g. COSHH, risk assessments).
• Relevant technical qualifications are desirable.
