Job Description
Full-time position
Annual salary - £29,000 to £31,000 per year
- Responsible for implementing best practice maintenance vision, strategy, policies, processes, and procedures to improve operational performance, with a focus on sustainable maintenance and energy consumption reduction strategies.
- Contribute to new business initiatives and projects, reviewing and communicating their impact on maintenance activities.
- Cover shifts as required, including duty manager responsibilities.
- Set and implement preventative maintenance programmes, ensuring the quality of FF&E and plant equipment.
- Control invoices and external providers’ costs.
- Work with GMs to develop maintenance budgets and ensure hotel compliance.
- Complete monthly energy reports and records.
Compliance
- Ensure compliance with health, safety, and environmental policies and procedures to ensure staff and guest safety.
- Inspect work to ensure compliance with standards and performance targets, taking corrective actions as appropriate.
- Conduct risk assessments of processes and tasks within hotel responsibilities.
Project Management
- Plan, manage, and coordinate projects and maintenance works, including budgets.
- Produce reports and analysis to keep management informed of progress, issues, and resolutions.
- Deliver small-scale projects, including lifecycle works, ensuring quality and timely risk management.
Recruitment & Personnel
- Recruit, supervise, and train maintenance team members.
- Manage, coach, and develop a high-performing, autonomous maintenance team.
- Provide technical support and expertise.
- Allocate human resources effectively within the cluster.
- Set objectives/KPIs, review performance, and report on achievements.
- Ensure delivery of the People Strategy and complete departmental performance reviews.
Qualifications
- Minimum of 2 years experience in maintenance.
- Previous managerial experience is advantageous.
- Good understanding of plumbing, carpentry, and electrical systems.
