Job summary

The Holiday Inn Oxford hotel, part of LGH Hotels Management, seeks an experienced Hotel Maintenance Manager to lead maintenance operations, safeguard assets, and keep the guest experience seamless. You’ll drive preventative programmes, manage a team, and coordinate with contractors to ensure top standards in a busy hospitality environment.

Based in Oxford, you’ll report on risks and priorities, implement energy efficiency, and nurture a calm, proactive maintenance culture across the hotel

Responsibilities

• Oversee day-to-day maintenance operations of the hotel, ensuring all work is completed efficiently, on time, and to a high standard.
• Allocate work, manage rotas, and provide clear direction to the maintenance team.
• Carry out regular inspections to identify issues early and reduce disruption.
• Design and implement preventative maintenance programmes that protect assets and minimise downtime.
• Proactively fault-find and deliver long-term problem resolution.
• Ensure maintenance activity is carried out safely and compliant with health and safety legislation.
• Maintain accurate records of maintenance work, costs, parts used, and compliance documentation.
• Manage the maintenance and repairs budget, balancing cost control with quality and reliability.
• Monitor energy usage and introduce energy-efficient improvements where possible.
• Oversee contractors and suppliers—negotiate contracts and ensure work is delivered to standard and within budget.
• Provide clear updates and reports to senior management on maintenance activity, risks, and priorities.
• Foster a positive, calm, solutions-focused maintenance culture.

What You’ll Be Responsible For
