About the Location
Sitting in a commanding position overlooking Longsands Beach, this art deco-style building in Tynemouth offers stunning coastline views and easy access to the seafront. It houses a pub restaurant with 250 internal and 300 external covers, a fish and chip takeaway, and an ice cream and coffee parlour, enhancing the vibrant coastal experience.
You’ll Fit Right Inn
As a Maintenance Manager, you will ensure our buildings and grounds provide a safe and exceptional experience for guests. Your responsibilities include overseeing daily maintenance operations, planning workloads, delegating tasks, and supporting your team with the necessary tools and training. You will be the first point of contact for emergency call-outs, manage seven-day maintenance coverage, and ensure all jobs are accurately recorded in our system while adhering to Health & Safety guidelines.
Daily checks on boilers, electrical systems, fire safety equipment, and exterior areas such as roofs, gutters, and walkways are essential to identify and address hazards. You will oversee planned maintenance projects like painting and grouting, respond to unplanned repairs, and maintain external areas, including gardens and outdoor spaces. Additionally, liaising with contractors, managing maintenance tools and stock, and replenishing supplies are key parts of your role.
To succeed, you should have experience in the construction trade, an NVQ or equivalent qualification, and a strong understanding of Health & Safety compliance. Leadership skills and a flexible, proactive attitude are essential to guide your team, handle challenges, and uphold high standards across all maintenance areas.
