Job summary

Un acteur majeur dans le secteur des services de construction recherche un Estates Officer pour superviser la maintenance opérationnelle des services de bâtiments. Vous serez responsable de la conformité réglementaire et de la gestion des contrats, contribuant à l'efficacité et la durabilité des opérations des installations. Ce rôle nécessite un bon niveau d'organisation et de communication, ainsi qu'une expérience en gestion dans le secteur public ou de la santé.

Qualifications

  • Min. 5 ans d'expérience pertinente en gestion des installations.
  • Expérience démontrable dans l'un des domaines : Ingénierie des bâtiments, Mécanique, Électrique.
  • Licence de conduire UK et accès au transport requis.

Responsibilities

  • Gérer et surveiller les contrats de maintenance pour maintenir un domaine fonctionnel.
  • Assurer la conformité avec les réglementations santé, sécurité et environnement.
  • Soutenir la préparation de cas d'affaires et de devis dans des cadres réglementaires.

Pay Rates: Up to £24.23 per hour Umbrella or £21.40 per hour PAYE (inclusive of holiday pay)

Hours / Working Days: 37.5 hours per week, Monday to Friday, 9am – 5pm

Based: Office / Hospital

Main Purpose of Role:

The Estates Officer will support the Head of Estates in delivering Building Services (Mechanical & Electrical) operational maintenance across the estate. The role ensures compliance with legislative and regulatory standards and supports the efficient and effective functioning of Estates operations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage and monitor maintenance contracts and contractors to maintain a safe, functional estate.
  • Ensure compliance with health, safety, environmental and procurement regulations.
  • Assist in the delivery of minor and major works, planned/reactive maintenance, and refurbishment projects.
  • Support the preparation of business cases, tenders, and quotations within regulatory frameworks.
  • Undertake condition surveys and manage estates-related databases (e.g. CAFM systems).
  • Liaise with both internal and external stakeholders to ensure high-quality estates and facilities services.
  • Promote energy efficiency and contribute to sustainability and cost-effectiveness.
  • Assist with strategy planning and performance monitoring against KPIs.
  • Degree or HND in a relevant discipline (e.g., Building Services Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Facilities Management), or minimum 5 years’ relevant experience in a facilities/estates role within the construction industry.
  • Demonstrable experience in at least two of the following: Building, Surveying and Maintenance; Mechanical Engineering Services; Electrical Engineering Services.
  • Contract management experience, strong organisational and communication skills, ability to manage multiple deadlines.
  • Full UK driving licence and access to transport.
  • NEBOSH or equivalent Health and Safety qualification.
  • Prior experience in the public sector or healthcare estate management.
  • Proficiency in CAFM systems and CAD architectural drawing software.
