Job summary

St Ives Town Council is seeking a Maintenance Manager to lead delivery of high-quality maintenance across facilities and public spaces. You will ensure assets are safe, well maintained, and fit for purpose for residents and visitors.

You will manage a maintenance team, lead programmes, and work with the Facilities Committee and councillors to provide guidance on property matters and repairs across planned and responsive works.

Are you an experienced maintenance professional looking for an opportunity to make a real impact in your community? We are seeking a proactive and skilled Maintenance Manager to lead the delivery of high-quality maintenance services across our facilities and public spaces. As a key member of our management team, you will lead and support operational staff, manage maintenance programmes, and help shape the future development of our services. The postholder is responsible for managing a programme of work, to ensure that the Council’s land and property assets are in good repair, fit for purpose and are managed effectively and efficiently. This role involves the day to day management of maintenance team and working closely with the senior management team, the Facilities Committee and councillors to provide advice on property related matters and carry out responsive repairs, alongside a programme of planned maintenance and small works.
