Job summary

Allscreens Nationwide Ltd is seeking a practical Maintenance Operative based in Canterbury, with travel to Dover and Folkestone. You will perform general maintenance, respond to issues, and help keep properties in good condition.

The role requires a hands-on, reliable and organised individual with a broad maintenance skill set and the ability to work independently or as part of a team. A DBS check will be completed as part of the recruitment process.

Based in Canterbury | Travel required to Dover and Folkestone

We are looking for a practical and reliable Maintenance Operative to provide an effective and efficient maintenance service across supported accommodation and office properties.

You will carry out a range of general maintenance, responsive repairs and planned works, helping to ensure properties are safe, well maintained and presented to a high standard.

Key Responsibilities

• Carry out general maintenance including decorating, basic carpentry, flooring, plumbing, door and window repairs and changing light bulbs.
• Respond to maintenance issues and ensure repairs are prioritised and completed within reasonable timescales.
• Help keep properties clean, tidy and safe, reporting issues such as waste, fly-tipping, pest control and other concerns.
• Liaise with specialist contractors when required.
• Complete planned and cyclical maintenance, including refurbishing and redecorating rooms when needed.

About You

We are looking for someone who is hands-on, reliable and organised, with a good range of general maintenance skills and a practical approach to problem-solving.

A full driving licence and access to your own transport are essential, as the role involves travel between properties across Canterbury, Dover and Folkestone.

You will need to be able to work independently while also working effectively as part of a team.
