Job summary

NYX, LLC is seeking a Maintenance General technician in Plymouth to maintain production and support equipment per supervisor instructions. The role emphasizes preventative maintenance, safety, and adherence to 5S standards.

You will perform oiling, greasing, and cleaning as scheduled, review operation instructions, and participate in plant upgrades and training as directed by management. The position requires basic maintenance expertise and reliability.

Qualifications

• Mechanical aptitude for diagnosing faults and basic repairs.
• Associate degree or equivalent maintenance experience.
• Experience in an industrial production environment preferred.
• Knowledge of safety policies and procedures.

Responsibilities

• Perform preventive maintenance on production and building equipment.
• Oil, grease and clean areas as directed by work orders.
• Ensure safety and housekeeping standards are maintained.
• Assist with upgrades, programs, and training as needed.
• Review maintenance forms and instructions in the maintenance office.
• Complete additional work assigned by supervisor or management.
• Maintain familiarity with TS16949 and the Quality Policy.
• Follow safety rules and report injuries promptly.
• Uphold 5S housekeeping standards in the plant.
• Conduct routine checks and contribute to documentation.
• Support the maintenance team with compliance and records.

Description

Maintains all production equipment, support equipment and building maintenance as directed by supervisor.

Key Responsibilities

1. Complete all preventive maintenance activities assigned by supervisor.

2. Oil, grease and clean all areas as needed through work orders.

4. Insure safety and housekeeping standards are met.

5. May be assigned out-sort work, programs, and/or training, due to upgrades of job title as assessed by management team.

6. The following documents will be the responsibility of a maintenance technician for review and/or function.
NOTE: All forms are in the Maintenance Office.

• Rev B, Equipment Listing.
• Power House- Daily PM Checks.
• Air Compressor- Monthly PM Checks.
• Floor Sweeper- Monthly PM Checks.
• Thermolator- Monthly PM Checks.
• Dryers- Monthly PM Checks.
• IMM Daily and Monthly PM Checks.
• Robots Monthly PM Checks.
• IMM Quarterly PM Checks.
• Floor Scrubber Monthly PM Checks.
• Sprinkler System Quarterly Checks.
• Conveyor Weekly Checks.
• Vacuum Pump Monthly Checks.
• IMM Information.
• Assembly Fixture Verification - Done daily

7. The following work instructions relate to the function of the forms listed above.
NOTE: All work instructions below are in the maintenance office.

• Completion of Work Orders.
• Equipment Predictive Maintenance Set-up.
• Equipment Maintenance.

8. Complete additional work assigned by supervisor and/or management team.

9. Must have basic knowledge of TS16949 and know the Quality Policy.

10. Follow the safety rules, report safety problems and all injuries, regardless of severity.

11. Ensure plant safety and 5S housekeeping standards are maintained.

Physical Demands

• Standing - frequently required on concrete floor when repairing equipment
• Walking - sometimes required during repairing or doing maintenance
• Lifting - frequent lifting from floor to waist level
• Reaching - frequently extending arms and hands in front of body and below the waist when repairing machines
• Turning/twisting - required all the time to perform job functions
• Bending/stooping - occasionally required

Skills Knowledge and Expertise

Mechanical aptitude, Minimum Associate Degree or equivalent experience in maintenance. Experience in an industrial production environment desired, trouble shooting skills, flexible schedule and willing to work overtime on short notice.
