Job summary

Sodexo is seeking a Mechanical Fitter to maintain and repair essential mechanical systems in a busy healthcare environment. You will work on heating, chilled systems, ventilation and BMS, focusing on safety, quality, and technical excellence.

You will install, fault-find and diagnose mechanical, electrical, plumbing and energy management systems, and may be on-call with driving duties as required. A NVQ Level 3 in Mechanical Eng & Building Services is required, with on-going course training

Qualifications

• NVQ Level 3 in Mechanical Engineering and Building Services.
• Willing to learn and attend courses to add to qualifications.
• Healthcare or large, complex sites experience is an advantage but not essential.
• Proven experience in a mechanical maintenance or fitter role.
• Strong knowledge of heating, ventilation and mechanical systems.
• Confident diagnosing faults and carrying out repairs.
• Good knowledge of health and safety regulations.
• Independent or team-working capability.

Responsibilities

• Maintain and repair mechanical systems in a healthcare environment.
• Install, fault-find, and diagnose mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and BMS systems.
• Work safely in line with health and safety regulations, including working at heights.
• Be available for on-call duties and drive the company vehicle as required.
• Respond promptly to breakdowns and participate in scheduled response systems.

Mechanical Fitter, where you'll play a vital role in maintaining and repairing essential mechanical systems within a busy healthcare environment. We are seeking a skilled professional with experience in heating, chilled, ventilation, and BMS systems, who is committed to safety, quality, and technical excellence. • Strong understanding of Heating, Chilled Systems, Ventilation, and BMS Systems within a healthcare environment
• Skilled in installation, repair, fault finding, and diagnostics of mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and building energy management systems
• Ability to work safely in compliance with health and safety regulations, including working at heights and using relevant tools and equipment
• Capable of working independently, including on call duties and driving the company vehicle as required
• Knowledge of Health and Safety at Work Act 1974 and commitment to health and safety standards
• Proven ability to respond promptly to breakdowns and participate in scheduled response systems

What You Bring:
