Job Description:

1. Responsibilities:
2. Ensure a safety culture across site
3. Adhere to Greif UK HR processes and procedures
4. Lead by example to the Greif Way
5. Focus on planning/scheduling and preventative/predictive maintenance using the CMMS
6. Assist in all maintenance tasks, identify improvement opportunities, and complete projects to enhance efficiency and reduce costs
7. Create shared owner value by eliminating waste from processes
8. Implement and maintain world-class housekeeping standards
9. Maximise equipment efficiency (OEE) while minimising scrap and waste
10. Investigate customer complaints, identify root causes, and track actions to prevent recurrence
11. Plan to ensure On Time Delivery to customers
12. Ensure quality, reduce scrap, and perform root cause analysis for repeat failures
13. Maintain calibration records
14. Conduct at least two Kaizen events per year
15. Follow Greif UK Safety, Health and Environmental policies
16. Complete other tasks as required to meet KPIs
17. Use Progea and other systems to monitor and improve plant operations
18. Manage production overtime coverage by maintenance personnel

Qualifications & Training:

1. Essential: Good education, recognized mechanical apprenticeship or equivalent
2. Desirable: ONC/HNC or relevant discipline

Experience & Skills:

• Knowledge of lean manufacturing (Kanban, SMED, 5S)
• Experience with hydraulic, pneumatic, and PLC-controlled equipment in manufacturing
• Proficient IT skills, including Microsoft Office
