WHAT TO EXPECT

This role is part of the estate management maintenance team, providing mechanical support to Gaydon and potentially other non-manufacturing sites.

You’ll be responsible for first-line response to requests or issues with equipment via the internal system or calls from customers and site management.

Working from a central facilities workshop, you’ll carry out maintenance, fault-finding, and installation work across various buildings with state-of-the-art vehicle design, test, and office facilities.

Key Accountabilities & Responsibilities

• Maintenance and repair of low and high-pressure hot water systems, pumps, boilers, and valves
• Maintenance of compressed air systems and general plant room equipment
• Installation and repair of hydraulics and pneumatics
• Servicing heating, ventilation, and air conditioning systems
• General plumbing, kitchen/toilet installations, fault-finding, and mechanical equipment repairs

WHAT YOU’LL NEED

• Completion of an appropriate trade apprenticeship with NVQ level 3 or equivalent
• Experience in plumbing and pipework systems of all types
• Competence in working on water/sewage pumping systems
• Experience with workshop equipment and machinery, capable of mechanical repairs
• Logical problem-solving skills demonstrated through previous experience
