A leading manufacturer of specialist construction materials and products is seeking a Maintenance Fitter to join their engineering team based in Birmingham. The role is on a rotating shift basis including day and night shifts to support continuous production. You will be an experienced, mechanically biased Maintenance Engineer/Fitter.

Salary: £50,000 p.a. + Great suite of benefits including Pension, Annual Leave, Life Assurance.
The Maintenance Fitter will support mechanically focused maintenance requirements in a busy manufacturing plant supporting both planned and reactive maintenance needs and specific project-based initiatives including machinery installations or machine moves.
The Maintenance Fitter will work in a safe and supportive manner within the engineering team including working on pneumatic, hydraulic, and large mechanical equipment carrying out functions such as welding, fault finding to component level, replacement of parts and preventative maintenance and ensuring the maximum machine uptime for the facility.
You will be an experienced, mechanically biased Maintenance Engineer/Fitter who is able to read technical drawings and work safely in a range of automated and mechanical processing environments. The Maintenance Fitter will be required to work rotating shifts including day and night patterns and demonstrate a keen awareness of continuous improvement and a collaborative working style.
You will receive excellent support and professional development in the role with opportunities to undertake further technical training. The Maintenance Fitter will ideally hold a recognised engineering focused qualification alongside the drive and determination to ensure that the plant runs smoothly.
