Job summary

Goole, East Yorkshire-based manufacturing client is seeking a Temporary Maintenance Operative to perform building maintenance and assist with low-level engineering tasks, with a view to developing into an engineer role.

The role is 3–6 months, 40 hours per week, paying £15–£16 per hour. Candidates should have H&S/food safety awareness, basic computer skills (Word, Excel), and a willingness to learn and follow an engineering development plan.

Qualifications

• H&S and food safety knowledge incl. machinery guarding
• Basic computer skills with Word/Excel
• Willingness to learn engineering tasks
• Ability to work at heights and in confined spaces

Responsibilities

• Planned maintenance of operational machinery (PPMs)
• Upkeep of critical spares stocks
• Assist in engineering projects and commission new equipment
• Upkeep of maintenance schedules
• Liaise with external contractors as needed
