Job summary

Questech Recruitment Ltd is assisting a well-established manufacturer to recruit a Maintenance Team Leader. You will lead a multi-skilled team, prioritise pro-active and reactive maintenance tasks, and ensure machine availability while coaching apprentices and developing succession plans.

The role operates on a 4 on, 4 off shift pattern (days and nights on rotation, average 42 hours/week). The candidate should be a time-served engineer with strong CI and Lean techniques experience.

Qualifications

• Engineering qualification at ONC/HND/HNC/NVQ Level 3 or equivalent.
• Time-served engineer with strong technical knowledge in heavy manufacturing.
• Experience leading a team and managing maintenance tasks.

Responsibilities

• Operate in line with H&S standards and safe working practices.
• Lead shift on day-to-day maintenance to maintain machine availability.
• Coordinate workload and planned work including PPM and improvements.
• Liaise with Engineering Manager on Continuous Improvement and long-term projects.
• Provide hands-on support for shift teams and mentor maintenance engineers.
