Job summary

Questech Recruitment Ltd is seeking an Electrical Maintenance Engineer for a highly automated manufacturing facility on a temporary, ongoing contract. You will oversee the reliability of production equipment through planned and reactive electrical maintenance.

The ideal candidate is apprentice-trained with NVQ3/City & Guilds, experienced with PLCs, sensors, motors and drives, and able to work under pressure while upholding safety standards.

Qualifications

• Fully apprenticed trained in electrical engineering with a formal qualification.
• NVQ Level 3 / City & Guilds or equivalent recognised qualification.
• Experience in a manufacturing or highly automated environment is essential.
• Strong fault-finding and diagnostic skills on electrical systems.
• Experience maintaining automated production machinery.
• Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced production setting.
• Commitment to health & safety with strict site procedures.

Responsibilities

• Electrical fault finding on automated manufacturing machinery.
• Planned and preventative maintenance tasks.
• Reactive breakdown maintenance and rapid fault resolution.
• Diagnosing and repairing electrical faults across equipment.
• Work with sensors, motors, drives, PLCs and control systems.
• Support continuous improvement and reliability projects.
• Carry out electrical installations and modifications when required.
• Adhere to safety rules and site electrical regulations.
