Ball and Young Ltd in Corby is seeking an experienced Maintenance Technician to maintain production equipment and site services, ensuring safe, reliable and efficient operation. This rotating shift role offers variety and hands-on problem solving.

You will perform preventive and predictive maintenance, respond to breakdowns, use the CMMS, and work with engineering and production teams to drive reliability and continuous improvement while protecting safety.

Qualifications

• NVQ Level 3 / equivalent practical maintenance experience.
• Experience in fast-paced manufacturing with PM practices.
• Strong mechanical and electrical fault-finding abilities.
• Ability to interpret engineering drawings and technical manuals.
• Effective communication and teamwork skills.
• Commitment to safety and high-quality workmanship.

Responsabilités

• Carry out planned and preventive maintenance on site machinery and services.
• Respond to breakdowns, diagnose faults and restore equipment safely with minimal downtime.
• Create and maintain maintenance records, logs and CMMS data.
• Coordinate contractors and ensure safety, permits to work and lockout procedures.
• Perform risk assessments and ensure compliance with health, safety, and environmental standards.
• Support continuous improvement and reliability initiatives to reduce costs.
