Job summary

An experienced maintenance engineer is sought to join an FMCG site in North Lanarkshire. You will work on a busy manufacturing environment, supporting ongoing development and investment across the site, with clear opportunities for career progression.

Duties include carrying out repairs, routine testing, and planned maintenance on plant machinery; manage spares and stock for your area; support KPI improvements and drive preventative maintenance initiatives; PLCs and automation experience is

Qualifications

Completion of a recognised apprenticeship in electrical or mechanical discipline.
Experience with PLCs and automation systems is highly desirable.
Experience of maintenance engineering in manufacturing.
Knowledge of hydraulics and pneumatics would be desirable.

Responsibilities

Carry out repairs, maintenance work and routine testing to all plant machinery and equipment.
Maintaining an adequate level of workshop spares to meet the production requirements and contributing to stock control requirements for an allocated area.
Completing planned maintenance work orders.
Ensuring all auditable paper work is completed and filed correctly.
Demonstrate a proactive approach to maintenance and assist in the development of preventative maintenance mechanisms.
Understand and support KPI improvements.
