Omega Resource Group is seeking a Maintenance Engineer in Blackburn to join a major manufacturing business. The role covers maintenance on injection moulding and related production systems within a plastics environment, on a continental shift pattern.

Ideal candidates have an engineering qualification (NVQ3/City & Guilds/HNC/HND or an apprenticeship) and experience in a manufacturing setting, with strong fault-finding on automated machinery.

Qualificações

• Recognised engineering qualification(s) such as NVQ Level 3, City & Guilds, HNC/HND or Apprenticeship in Engineering.
• Experience in a manufacturing, FMCG, packaging, plastics or production environment is desirable.
• Strong fault-finding skills on automated machinery.

Responsabilidades

• Carry out planned preventative maintenance (PPM) and reactive maintenance across the manufacturing facility.
• Fault find and repair production equipment to minimise downtime and maximise efficiency.
• Work on machinery including injection moulding, blow moulding, conveyors and related systems.
• Support continuous improvement projects to enhance reliability, productivity and plant performance.
• Diagnose electrical, mechanical, pneumatic and hydraulic faults.
• Ensure maintenance activities are completed safely and in line with site procedures.
• Assist with machinery installations, upgrades and improvement projects.
• Accurately complete maintenance records and communicate effectively during shift handovers.
