Job summary
Hunter Selection Ltd is supporting a UK-based manufacturer in Coventry in its search for a Maintenance Engineer to join the engineering team at a busy production facility.
You will carry out planned preventive maintenance, diagnose mechanical and electrical faults, and support equipment upgrades while ensuring reliability and uptime in a fast-paced environment.
The role suits hands-on engineers who can work independently and collaborate with operations to optimise plant performance.
Qualifications
- Experience in a maintenance role with strong mechanical focus.
- Knowledge of hydraulic and pneumatic systems.
- Ability to diagnose basic electrical control faults.
- Experience interpreting technical drawings or maintenance manuals.
Responsibilities
- Carrying out planned preventive maintenance across production assets.
- Diagnosing and resolving mechanical and electrical faults to minimise downtime.
- Supporting equipment upgrades, modifications and improvement projects.
- Completing maintenance documentation and updating records.
- Identifying recurring issues and helping drive reliability improvements.
- Assisting with equipment installation, refurbishment and general engineering projects.
- Monitoring spare parts usage and supporting stock control activities.
- Working closely with operational teams to maintain plant performance.
