Job summary

Adepto Technical Recruitment Ltd has partnered with a leading industrial organisation to recruit a hands-on Maintenance Engineer for their Dundee site in East Scotland. You will take responsibility for maintenance across plant equipment, utilities and site infrastructure, ensuring safety, reliability and high plant availability.

Qualifications

• Proven maintenance engineering experience within an industrial environment.
• Strong mechanical and/or electrical engineering knowledge.
• Experience planning and coordinating maintenance programmes.
• Experience managing and supervising contractors.
• Knowledge of Permit-to-Work systems and risk assessments.
• Experience with maintenance budgets and procurement.
• Strong understanding of HSE legislation and industrial safety practices.
• Engineering qualification in Mechanical, Electrical, Process Engineering or related discipline.

Responsibilities

• Lead and coordinate planned and reactive maintenance activities.
• Ensure plant and utility equipment operates safely and reliably.
• Plan maintenance activities and coordinate internal and external resources.
• Manage and supervise maintenance contractors on site.
• Create, issue and review Permit-to-Work documentation using RAP4.
• Coordinate statutory inspections and equipment examinations.
• Manage procurement of spare parts, materials and specialist services.
• Work closely with operations to prioritise maintenance and minimise downtime.
• Support maintenance budgets and control expenditure.
• Supervise capital project work where required.
• Promote high standards of health, safety and environmental compliance.
