Job summary

SRG in Leek is seeking an experienced Maintenance Engineer to join a leading organisation on a 6-month contract. This day-based role supports maintenance activities within a highly regulated industrial environment.

The successful candidate will carry out routine and reactive maintenance on plant equipment, perform pipefitting and mechanical tasks, and conduct basic electrical fault-finding with a strong emphasis on safety and compliance. Immediate availability is preferred.

Qualifications

• Proven experience as a Maintenance Engineer in an industrial environment.
• Strong background in pipework, pumps, vessels, and flanges.
• Basic electrical fault-finding capability.
• Experience with equipment isolation procedures (LOTO).

Responsibilities

• Carry out routine and reactive maintenance on plant equipment.
• Perform pipefitting and mechanical maintenance tasks.
• Conduct basic electrical fault-finding and diagnostics.
• Undertake function testing and signal checking.
• Execute flange repairs and maintenance.
• Isolate and maintain pumps and agitators safely.
• Ensure all work is completed in line with site safety and compliance standards.
• Support continuous improvement and plant reliability initiatives.
