Job summary

Options Resourcing Ltd is seeking a Maintenance Engineer (Electrical or Mechanical) to join a long-term temporary role at our client site in Exeter. The role is 2 days per week with occasional travel to Cardiff roughly once a month.

The successful candidate will handle both planned and reactive maintenance, carry out fault finding, and ensure all plant and building services are kept to a high standard. Independent working is required.

Qualifications

• Experience in maintenance engineering including electrical or mechanical systems.
• Ability to perform planned and reactive maintenance tasks.
• Good fault-finding and problem-solving skills.

Maintenance Engineer - Electrical or Mechanical

Location: Exeter

Hours: 2 days per week

Contract: Long-term temporary

Additional travel: Cardiff once a month

We're currently looking for a Maintenance Engineer to join our client on a long-term temporary basis, working 2 days per week at their site in Exeter.

The role would suit either an electrically or mechanically biased engineer who is confident carrying out both planned and reactive maintenance.

Key responsibilities

• Carry out planned preventative maintenance (PPM) across the site
• Respond to reactive maintenance and breakdowns
• Fault finding and basic repairs
• Ensure plant, equipment and building services are maintained to a high standard
• Complete maintenance records and paperwork
• Work safely and follow site procedures
• Attend the Cardiff site approximately once a month

Requirements

• Previous maintenance engineering experience
• Electrical or mechanical background
• Experience carrying out PPM and reactive maintenance
• Good fault-finding and problem-solving skills
• Able to work independently
• Happy to travel to Cardiff once a month
