Job summary

Newell Brands is seeking a Maintenance Engineer to oversee packaging machinery and warehouse infrastructure at the Fradley Park centre (Lichfield). You'll maintain five high‑performance packaging machines, manage building systems, and support proactive maintenance with rapid breakdown response.

You'll work with Facilities Manager and internal teams, contribute to projects, and benefit from ongoing online training opportunities as part of a dedicated facilities team.

Qualifications

• Completed an electrically biased engineering apprenticeship.
• 5+ years’ post-apprenticeship experience in a similar role.
• Experience with hydraulics, pneumatics, and material handling equipment.

Responsibilities

• Maintain and troubleshoot five packaging machines with minimal downtime.
• Carry out building maintenance across HVAC, lighting, and safety systems.
• Diagnose and resolve electrical and mechanical issues.
• Support project work and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Work at height (up to 18 meters) using MEWP equipment.
• Collaborate with external contractors and internal teams.
• Implement preventive maintenance schedules using CMMS.
• Provide technical training to staff and ensure safety compliance.
