Maintenance Engineer at Berry Recruitment

Berry Recruitment is currently seeking a Maintenance Engineer to join a successful manufacturing client based in Norwich.

This role is varied and challenging. Your primary responsibility will be to ensure all engineering works are completed promptly, efficiently, and to the correct standard to minimize plant downtime. You will also take a proactive approach to OEE improvement and collaborate with the management team to identify continuous improvement opportunities and develop site PPM plans with the Lead Projects Engineer.

Responsibilities:
  • Maintain and improve all plant, processes, and assets to ensure safety, efficiency, and reliability.
  • Perform day-to-day maintenance and improvements of plant, assets, and services.
  • Ensure all work complies with H&S standards.
  • Participate in the development of safe working practices.
  • Complete PPM tasks and develop improved maintenance practices.
Skills:
  • Electrical knowledge and experience, including fault finding.
  • Mechanical knowledge and experience with hydraulic and pneumatic systems.
  • NVQ Level 3 or equivalent in a related engineering qualification, with relevant experience.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft applications.
  • FLT license is advantageous.

The working hours are day shifts, but some flexibility is required due to the nature of the business.

Salary ranges from £38,000 to £40,000, depending on experience.
