Job summary

BMS Performance Ltd. is seeking an electrically biased, multi-skilled engineer for night shifts at their Plymouth production facility. You will perform hands-on maintenance across production machinery, fault-finding faults, and carry out planned maintenance to reduce downtime.

The role suits someone who can work independently during late hours with a focus on safety. The position offers a 48k salary, a 4% pension contribution, employee assistance programme, retailer discounts, and tools

Qualifications

• Experience maintaining machinery in a manufacturing/industrial environment.
• Strong electrical fault-finding skills with a multi-skilled approach.
• Mechanical maintenance experience advantageous.
• Able to work independently, prioritise breakdowns and maintain safe working practices.

• Join an established manufacturing operation with a varied range of machinery and engineering challenges.

• Help improve equipment reliability and support the ongoing development of the site’s night-shift engineering cover.

The Company

An established international manufacturing business operating a substantial production facility in Plymouth. The site combines a broad range of manufacturing equipment with a focus on quality, operational performance and continuous improvement.

The Role

Working as part of the engineering function, you will provide hands-on maintenance support across production machinery, responding to faults and carrying out planned maintenance to minimise downtime. The role would suit an electrically biased, multi-skilled engineer who is confident diagnosing problems and working independently during night shifts. Mechanical skills would also be beneficial. Night shift 10pm to 6am.

Requirements

• Experience maintaining machinery within a manufacturing or industrial environment.
• Strong electrical fault-finding skills and a multi-skilled engineering approach.
• Mechanical maintenance experience would be advantageous.
• Ability to work independently, prioritise breakdowns and maintain safe working practices.
• Full right to work in the UK without sponsorship.
