Job summary

ITSS Recruitment Ltd is seeking a Maintenance Engineer for a Grimsby-based manufacturing site. The role offers £37.5k–£45k per year plus benefits including private medical, pension, life insurance and Cycle to Work.

You will maintain a varied range of production and site equipment, diagnose faults, and carry out repairs and preventative maintenance. PLC experience is beneficial; welding and fabrication are valued talents.

Qualifications

• Proven mechanical engineering or maintenance experience.
• Background within a manufacturing or industrial setting.
• Competent with electrical fault diagnosis and repair.
• Familiarity with PLC-controlled machinery would be advantageous.
• Able to understand engineering drawings, wiring diagrams and schematics.
• Experience taking responsibility for maintenance activities or leading others.
• Self-motivated with good planning and problem-solving abilities.
• Practical approach to engineering, including welding, fabrication and general repairs.

Responsibilities

• Organise maintenance requirements, work with external contractors when specialist support is needed and ensure essential spares and materials are available.
• Maintain a varied range of production and site equipment, diagnose faults and carry out repairs.
• Carry out preventative maintenance to keep production running efficiently.

A well-established manufacturing business in Grimsby is seeking a skilled Maintenance Engineer to join its team. With more than five decades of industry experience and an established customer base across the UK and overseas, this is an opportunity to join a secure business and play a key role in keeping its production facility running efficiently.

As the new Maintenance Engineer you will be responsible for maintaining a varied range of production and site equipment. Your duties will include diagnosing faults, completing repairs and carrying out preventative maintenance.

The successful Maintenance Engineer will bring a solid mechanical engineering background together with experience of maintaining equipment within a production environment. You should be confident investigating electrical faults, with PLC experience being beneficial, and be capable of working from engineering drawings and electrical schematics.

Required Maintenance Engineer Experience:
