Job summary

bet365 seeks a Mechanical Maintenance Engineer to keep our world-class facilities running smoothly across our sites. You will perform planned preventative maintenance and urgent repairs, servicing motors, drives, pumps, pipework and refrigeration systems to prevent disruptions.

You will conduct risk assessments, develop method statements, and manage workload via a CMMS, while supporting out-of-hours needs and coordinating with contractors to ensure safety and compliance.

Qualifications

  • Level 3 certificate or higher in Mechanical Engineering (plumbing or HVAC).
  • UK driving licence is required.
  • Ability to read and interpret mechanical and electrical drawings.
  • Practical knowledge of Building Management Systems (BMS).
  • Strong analytical and fault-finding capabilities for complex installations.

Responsibilities

  • Execute planned preventative maintenance, remedial works and reactive tasks.
  • Carry out urgent repairs on plant equipment and systems.
  • Inspect motors, drives, pumps, pipework and refrigeration equipment.
  • Conduct risk assessments and develop method statements for tasks.
  • Manage contractors and external suppliers safely.
  • Utilise CMMS to track issues and coordinate maintenance tasks.

Job description

As a Mechanical Maintenance Engineer, you will keep our world‑class facilities running smoothly by maintaining critical plant equipment and support systems across our sites.

Engineering Services ensures the seamless operation of expansive, high‑tech facilities. Joining this technical group, you will take an active role in planned preventative maintenance and urgent repair needs. You will perform routine inspections and service complex equipment, including motors, drives, pumps, pipework and refrigeration systems, to prevent critical breakdowns.

Proactively ensuring safety is a core focus of this position. You will conduct thorough risk assessments and develop method statements for all tasks to safeguard personnel. Managing your own workload is essential, utilising a Computerised Maintenance Management System (CMMS) to track and resolve issues efficiently.

You will form part of the facilities on‑call team reacting to critical plant and systems failures.

Qualifications
  • Level 3 certificate or above in a Mechanical Engineering discipline, such as plumbing or HVAC
  • Full UK driving licence
  • Ability to read and interpret mechanical and electrical drawings
  • Practical knowledge of the operation and functionality of Building Management Systems
  • Strong analytical and troubleshooting capabilities for complex installations and fault finding
  • Working knowledge of appropriate health and safety standards and regulations
  • Self‑sufficient approach to managing workloads via a CMMS
Additional Information
  • Execute planned preventative maintenance, remedial works and reactive tasks in line with current legislation
  • Maintain safety standards in accordance with statutory legislation and company policies
  • Provide out of hours support to business‑critical functions and activities
  • Manage contractors and external suppliers in line with safe systems of work
  • Assist with the delivery of in‑house project works in line with CAPEX and OPEX requirements
  • Generate and manage critical spares for your specific discipline
