Job summary

Adecco is seeking an experienced Maintenance Engineer to join our Stockbridge operation in the UK. You will perform preventative and reactive maintenance on electrical and mechanical systems, ensuring uptime and efficiency across machinery, plant and facilities.

The role demands fault diagnosis, and hands-on repairs, with a proactive approach and strong teamwork. A valid UK driving licence is essential and a structured rota supports work-life balance.

Qualifications

  • Strong electrical and mechanical knowledge (Level 3 or above).
  • 18th Edition qualification required.
  • Experience with motors, drives, fault finding, and control systems.
  • Hydraulics and pneumatics knowledge.
  • Welding skills (advantageous).
  • A proactive, problem-solving mindset.
  • Strong teamwork and communication skills.
  • Full UK driving licence - essential.

Responsibilities

Job description

Maintenance Engineer

Location: Stockbridge

Are you an experienced Maintenance Engineer looking for a varied, hands-on role in a dynamic environment? This is an exciting opportunity to join a well-established operation where you'll play a vital part in keeping equipment, machinery, and facilities running smoothly.

The Role

You'll be responsible for both preventative and reactive maintenance across a range of electrical and mechanical systems, ensuring minimal downtime and maximum efficiency.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Carrying out planned maintenance and servicing
  • Diagnosing faults and implementing effective repairs
  • Maintaining machinery, plant, and site facilities
  • Supporting spare parts management and stock control
  • Working closely with the wider team to prioritise workloads
  • Upholding high standards of health, safety, and hygiene
Working Pattern
  • 44 hours per week
  • Flexibility to work across 4 or 5 days
  • 1 weekend in 3 (with 2 days off in the week when worked)
  • Participation in a shared out-of-hours callout rota
Salary

£48,000 - £52,000 DOE
