Job summary
CO Manufacturing in Wakefield is seeking a Maintenance Engineer to support our production operation. You will perform planned maintenance, respond to equipment breakdowns, and assist with installations and modifications to keep machinery running safely and efficiently.
You will contribute to continuous improvement efforts, document maintenance activities, and adhere to Health and Safety procedures as part of a busy manufacturing environment in the Wakefield area.
Qualifications
- NVQ Level 3, City & Guilds Level 3 or an engineering apprenticeship.
- Experience in a manufacturing or production environment.
- Strong electrical and mechanical fault finding skills.
- Proactive approach to preventative maintenance.
- Excellent problem solving and communication skills.
- Commitment to Health and Safety.
- Experience with automated manufacturing machinery.
- Experience with window and door manufacturing machinery desirable.
Responsibilities
- Carry out planned preventative maintenance across manufacturing equipment.
- Respond quickly to machinery breakdowns and perform fault finding.
- Install and modify plant and equipment where required.
- Support continuous improvement activities to reduce downtime and improve performance.
- Record maintenance activities accurately.
- Work safely and follow all Health and Safety procedures.
