Job summary

Energy Jobline CVL is seeking a proactive Maintenance Engineer in Norwich for a temporary ongoing placement. You will maintain and improve site machinery, minimise downtime and support continuous improvement across the facility, with both planned and reactive maintenance duties.

The role requires strong fault-finding skills, experience in a manufacturing environment, and the ability to work with production teams to achieve targets. Double Days shift is specified in the posting.

Qualifications

• Strong mechanical and/or electrical maintenance experience ideally within manufacturing site.
• Experience working within a manufacturing or production environment.
• Excellent fault-finding and problem-solving abilities.
• Experience with planned preventative maintenance.

Responsibilities

• Respond quickly and effectively to equipment breakdowns, minimising downtime and disruption to production.
• Carry out planned preventative maintenance (PPM) in line with the maintenance schedule.
• Diagnose faults and identify root causes to prevent recurring machinery issues.
• Request and manage replacement parts as required.
• Work closely with the Production team to improve TPM and front-line maintenance practices.
• Support improvements to machinery reliability, efficiency and overall equipment performance.
• Identify opportunities to improve maintenance processes and reduce downtime.
• Monitor and contribute towards key maintenance and production KPIs.
• Support continuous improvement projects and ensure agreed improvement plans are delivered.
• Work collaboratively with cross-functional teams to improve production methods, processes and ways of working.
• Ensure all maintenance activities are carried out in accordance with health, safety and environmental requirements.
• Maintain a safe, secure and compliant working environment at all times.

Hourly Pay: £22.00 per hour

Position 1 Recruitment are currently recruiting for an experienced Maintenance Engineer to join a well-established manufacturing operation. This is an excellent opportunity for a skilled engineer to play a key role in maintaining and improving site machinery, minimising downtime and supporting continuous improvement across the facility.

You will be responsible for both planned and reactive maintenance, ensuring equipment remains safe, reliable and operational while supporting production to achieve key performance targets.

Key Responsibilities of Maintenance Engineer:
