Job summary

Probe UK Limited is seeking a mechanically biased Maintenance Engineer to support a Shropshire-based manufacturing site. You will perform planned and reactive maintenance on heavy machinery, focusing on conveyors, gearboxes, hydraulics, pneumatics and drive systems.

The role includes fault finding, lubrication, and basic fabrication; prior experience in heavy manufacturing is preferred. The position will start on days and may move to a double day shift in the future.

Qualifications

• Apprentice-trained with mechanical apprenticeship
• Mechanical engineering qualifications required
• Mig and Stick welding skills
• Experience in heavy manufacturing environment beneficial

Responsibilities

• Carrying out planned preventative and reactive mechanical maintenance
• Fault finding on production and automated machinery
• Maintaining and repairing conveyors, saws, rollers and processing equipment
• Maintenance of gearboxes, motors, pumps and drive systems
• Fault finding and repairs on hydraulic and pneumatic systems
